a) Requirements and Specifications for F-986 Submission

In strict compliance with Article 122 of the Tax Code, notaries are required to submit a report by magnetic or electronic means. This report must contain the technical details specified by the Tax Administration and must be submitted at the end of each fiscal year. Failure to comply will result in penalties, according to Article 241 literal "j" of the Tax Code.

b) Penalties for noncompliance

Non-filing or late filing of the F-986 entails penalties, according to Article 241 paragraph "j" of the Tax Code. The fine is equivalent to 5 monthly minimum wages.
